Shoring Engineers has worked hard to obtain the excellent safety program and record we have today. And we are committed to constantly working harder to make it even better. We employ a fulltime Safety Manager, Kevin Winger, who came to Shoring with years of experience in the oil industry, where safety standards and procedures are the most stringent anywhere. Kevin is constantly on the move, and stays in regular contact with workers on-site, taking precautionary and corrective measures to maximize safety at each job, and providing training classes that deal with: Fall protection, CPR / First Aid, Scaffolding awareness, 40-hour training in Hazardous Materials, Forklift operation, Excavation Competent Person Training, Trench Shoring, Rigging and Traffic Control.

We have a zero tolerance for lost time accidents and near miss incidents. Our safety program imposes these principles from all levels of management down to the individual workman in the field. We stress the importance of every manager and employee actively looking out for his fellow employee to make sure he or she is working safely, is working in a safe environment, and has the necessary equipment to avoid accidents.
Fewer accidents occur when everyone is familiar with the worker alongside them. At Shoring Engineers, many of us have worked together for years. We’ve got each other’s backs. From a safety standpoint, it doesn’t get much better than that.
